BioWare has created a whole new beast this time around. Dragon Age: Inquisition is not only a notable improvement over its predecessors, it achieves a new standard for the genre. You'd be hard-pressed to find an aspect of this game that doesn't completely shine and draw you in.
The visual upgrades in GTA V take what was an impressive game on 8-year old hardware, and makes it shine bright on the new consoles. The introduction of first person perspective, and the many refinements to the game make it a trip worth taking, whether you've been there and done that, or not.
The Last of Us Remastered is as brilliant as ever and is a must-buy for any PS4 owner.
This PlayStation release of Rogue Legacy is undoubtedly the definitive release of the game. It might not get the hype and praise that the 2013 launch did, but those who happened to miss out on Rogue Legacy for PC/Mac should definitely take a look at this early release in Sony's Summer Play Program.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U lives up to and exceeds expectations in nearly every way. Expect to put dozens of hours into this truly exceptional multiplayer brawler.

With four complete single player campaigns, over 100 multiplayer maps, and a ton of other extras, Halo: The Master Chief Collection stands as the greatest compilation and remake in gaming history. Anyone with even a passing interest in the series will find a lot to love in this package.
Super Time Force is an awesome game from bottom to top. The combination of the impressive presentation and time-bending mechanics left me captivated at times. Fast forwarding and rewinding through my current playthrough to find just the right time to jump back into the action was addictive, and the goofy storyline was enough to keep me invested for the duration.

Rocket League takes simple game mechanics and turns them into a tight, engaging experience that will have you coming back for hours upon hours of gaming fun. Everything that worked in the PS4 and PC versions works just as well on Xbox One, with only some slight technical limitations holding it back. Overall though, this is the same sports gaming masterpiece that it was last year, and is worthy of joining any Xbox One owner's library.
Rocksteady Studios leaves Batman behind at the top of their game in terms of visual presentation, gameplay, and storytelling. While Arkham Knight's innovations are few, they are impactful and smart, and all work towards the common goal of giving the player the ultimate power fantasy of being the Batman.
An already beautiful experience is made even more gorgeous on the PlayStation 4 -- Journey is a trip worth taking. It's a bite sized adventure that you won't soon forget.

The Witness is a masterpiece of video game design. It presents a mysterious and fascinating world to explore, full of puzzles that will confound the player, but also delight them as they figure out the solution. The island setting is both fun to explore and endlessly enjoyable to look at. The game's true achievement though is in how it teaches the player its intricacies, with minimal intrusion and subtle hints, allowing for a great feeling of accomplishment when everything clicks into place.
This Xbox One version of the Witness stands shoulder to should with its PC and PlayStation 4 counterparts, delivering the same content we saw in those releases with a comparable visual fidelity.
If you're up for a challenge and a feast for the eyes and ears, Cuphead should not be overlooked.
