Larian has been incredibly receptive to fan requests since Baldur's Gate 3's early access release, and perhaps even more so after its full launch. With more kissing animations, a new path to unlocking an easy-to-miss companion, and the upcoming photo mode, there's been no shortage of fan-requested additions to the game - but there is one line that Larian won't cross, no matter how many times fans ask.
Once again, the devs are making it clear that Gortash will not be made kissable. The latest reminder comes from a community update blog post, going over the changes coming to Baldur's Gate 3 in Patch 7. Surprise surprise, a cheeky fling with Gortash will not be added to the game with this patch, and fans are in mourning.
"'But will we be able to kiss Gortash?' we hear you plead. 'We want to kiss Gortash!'" reads the latest blog post from Larian. "Listen, he’s a complicated guy who’s busy contemplating the minutia of death cult office politics. Babygurl doesn’t have time to kiss."
