Bob Richardson's Reviews
I'm glad I played Seeker, Slayer, Survivor. This is an adequate DLC for an already phenomenal game.
Enthusiasts will be initially underwhelmed, and then sated soon after.
A necessary purchase for those who enjoyed Pillars of Eternity.
A necessary purchase for those who enjoyed Pillars of Eternity.
Probably better off pulling up the cutscenes on YouTube.
A well-balanced and lovingly made final DLC.
Unless you absolutely need a jump scare fix, this is a game that will suitably be lost to time for being a shameless cash grab on the P.T. craze.
Dead inside. Enter at your own risk.
No one should play this. Whatever your genre or thematic preference, there are assuredly several better options.
Kitaria Fables is an action RPG with a failed farming component. Hell, even the action RPG aspect is failed. The dialogue, while cute and child-like, goes on and on with more telling and less showing. On its surface, this looks like a fun kids game, but the punishing enemies and excessive text tell otherwise. I’m not sure who this is for. Actually, I’d say it’s for no one. In no way is this any fun. It felt like work from beginning to end, and I can’t even say that’s because I was doing any farming.
Chinatown Detective Agency does some things right, but where it fails, it falls hard.
I know this is beautiful — how bad could it be — but please avoid it at all costs, no matter how cheap it is on sale.
If you're tempted to pick this up as a fan of the original, I'd encourage you to think twice; dated design decisions and uninspired writing make for a slog of an adventure.
Intended for kids.
Mageseeker is a slog that even die-hard League of Legends fans will have trouble getting through.
Intended for kids.
Without adding anything new to this still-budding sub-genre, justifying the investment in Gallowspire Survivors is difficult.
A huge step down from the first game. Only for the most die-hard retro fans.
"The whole affair felt either rushed or like a product borne from a lack of experience."
...since the enemies grow stronger as I grow stronger, these miniscule increases in stats only keep me afloat, and never add anything interesting to how I approach enemies.
