A repetitive experience that somehow makes hunting down ghoulish spirits dull
A terrible continue system further drags down an otherwise mediocre story mode, and the lack of depth in multiplayer is immediately apparent
Beating the entire game takes less than two hours, but it still somehow manages to drag. You can return to the game’s six stages to try and get higher scores, but I had zero interest in doing so. The arcade games of yesteryear sometimes lacked depth, but they at least had a hook that stuck with you and kept you itching to return to pump more quarters into the cabinet. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants strives for the greatness of the influential arcade hits of the past but falls well short. Thanks to uninteresting and annoying gameplay, repetitive enemy and boss encounters, and grating audio design, Wrath of the Mutants is little more than a shell of the series’ glory years.
Bland levels, basic platforming, and tedious boss battles render Bubsy's return unnecessary and unfortunate
With passive gameplay and constant random elements, Pokémon Quest is entirely forgettable
Super Daryl Deluxe is a fun, humorous ride that goes all-in on its strange vision. Unfortunately, nondescript quests, unclear objectives, and uneven balance prevent it from becoming anything more
Simplistic controls and formulaic song layouts lead to repetitive gameplay, but Floor Kids still delivers unique fun in the rhythm/music space
Though I learned a lot about underwater dinosaurs through Time Machine VR, it feels more like a museum exhibit than entertainment

A few great moments elevate an otherwise unsatisfying finale
Even if Sports Story was polished and bug-free, it would still fall strikingly short of the first title in the series. The new sports don’t play well, the fetch quests are tiresome, and the story is tedious and less charming than that of Golf Story. What remains of the retro golf experience is fun, but the whole game feels like a textbook example of being unable to deliver on lofty ambitions.
With improved pacing, Below the Bedrock helps the season bounce back, but the episode feels more like a detour from the season's high stakes than a way to raise tensions heading into the finale
With forgettable sequences through most of the episode, Jailhouse Block is the weakest episode of the season
Despite its silly story and inconsistent gameplay, Sonic Forces is a fun adventure and a step in the right direction for 3D Sonic titles
Being able to step into the shoes of a rockstar in first-person is novel. However, the new gameplay lacks the depth and strategy that made the series popular in the first place, and the formula feels empty without a multiplayer option
Despite the package including five sports, their shallow nature means the novelty wears off fast
The minigames range from frantic and fun to repetitious and uneventful
It's unevenly paced and ends just as it gets exciting, but Assembly Required has me interested to see what happens next
Though your choices don't matter much in the end, and longtime Telltale players will note the trademark style getting staler, Minecraft's second season still tells an enjoyable, albeit meandering, tale
Though the episode falls flat in a few areas and drags in the middle, some of the story beats have me interested in knowing where it goes next
