5 / 10.0 - Extinction
Apr 10, 2018

While the premises were good enough, Extinction fails to take a few step further. Every giant slayed in the game feels exactly the same as the one you met before - and there is not much else to do in the game.

5.5 / 10.0 - Spirit of the North
Nov 26, 2020

Spirit of the North: Enhanced Edition is a short and lighthearted adventure that boasts a good visual department but is crippled by several annoying technical problems.

5.5 / 10.0 - Spelunker Party!
Oct 25, 2017

Spelunker Party! is a challenging, classic game, with a ton of levels and objects to customize our avatars. But it's repetitive and some gameplay mechanics are overly punitive. We were expecting more from a new, payed, edition of its free-to-play brother, Spelunker World.

6 / 10.0 - Pokemon UNITE
Jul 31, 2021

Pokémon Unite is a fun and carefree MOBA, at least until you realize how much time you have to spend accumulating resources to upgrade your characters without spending money. The premises are good, despite the fact that it is a game that risks very little: it will be the long-term strategies that will determine the goodness of the project and, of course, its success.

A small story that serves well to introduce new users to the world of virtual reality, but the experience of Vader Immortal is unfortunately very limited and gives very little reason for a new game, after having reached the end credits.

Peaky Blinders: Mastermind is a puzzle game with interesting mechanics, which pays dearly for choosing to remain faithful to the structure of the TV series, only to reveal its potential in the final stages - just like Thomas Shelby usually does with his opponents, ironically.

Tales of Kenzera: ZAU is a video game with su much heart... enclosed in an imperfect container. Moving within the various regions of Kenzera is a pleasure, but for a good part of the game the combat remains more of a burden than a pleasure. When things finally start to get more complicated the adventure finally seems to take off, but unfortunately this happens far too late.

6.5 / 10.0 - Salt and Sacrifice
May 16, 2022

Rough, sometimes intriguing, sometimes frustrating: Salt and Sacrifice does its job, but it doesn't always go smoothly. The Mage hunting sequences are clever, but the pieces of the puzzle sometimes simply don't fit together.

Season: a Letter to the Future is strange. When everything works perfectly and you find yourself in front of one of the stupendous landscapes that make it up, which tell long stories without the need for many words, it is a work of art that leaves you speechless. The freedom given to the player to define the shape of Estelle's adventure and literally bring the season's sunset diary to life is a breath of fresh air, but not strong enough to take flight and the story ends up stopping after a few bars, interrupting a speech suddenly, giving the impression of having left something unfinished.

6.8 / 10.0 - 198X

It is indeed a great history lesson on the golden age of the arcades, but a short one, with low replayability.

6.8 / 10.0 - Conan Exiles
May 11, 2018

Conan Exiles brings you in a violent world, full of background stories and dangerous places, but still feels crippled due to technical flaws, despite the time passed in early access on Steam.

Song of Nunu tells a story with fairy-tale tones: monsters, journeys into the unknown, moments of uncertainty and confrontations with the abyss; thanks to the relationship between Nunu and Willump, brought to life by the developers through effective work inside and (above all) outside the movies, the adventure proceeds finding its own lightness even in the darkest moments.

Minecraft Legends' adventure, in single player, can be completed in a handful of hours, going straight to the goal with the right strategies, but it can also keep you company for much more if you want to explore all of the overworld. The PvP mode, very central on paper, doesn't really shine if you don't use some communication system external to the game – a non-secondary problem, given that strategy is really crucial and good coordination helps not only to keep the games fun, but also to ensure that they do not last longer than necessary.

7 / 10.0 - Wild Hearts
Feb 22, 2023

When you get into the action and get into the right rhythm, Wild Hearts works. Too bad for some uncertainty too much that delays, or interrupts, this state of grace.

7 / 10.0 - Sable
Nov 29, 2022

Sable is a difficult game to rate: if you think only of the quality of the work from an aesthetic and narrative point of view, the number at the bottom of the review should skyrocket. Exploration is everything here: the game really comes into its own when you take the liberty of setting your own course. Unfortunately, analyzing the work of Shedworks as a whole, one cannot help but notice how the technical limits weigh on a gameplay that is not particularly inspired, even going so far as to undermine the user's involvement during the game session.

JETT - The Far Shore is an adventure that, at its best, conveys a sense of absolute freedom to the player in the exploration of an alien planet. The setting is full of ideas ... and it is a pity that many of these are not fully developed during the story. From a stylistic point of view, the contrast between the minimal graphic style and the orchestral soundtrack is excellent and gives a unique character to the work.

7 / 10.0 - Hoa
Sep 7, 2021

Hoa is a sweet and light story, which systematically avoids complicating things too much to remain an adventure within everyone's reach - missing out on a few opportunities to challenge the players, while managing to maintain a good pace from start to finish.

7 / 10.0 - The Pathless
Dec 1, 2020

The Pathless is not a big game and doesn't want to gamble too much, but knows which aspects to really bet on. The heart of the game experience is exploration and does a good job of making you fully enjoy the rides and flights over its small but fascinating world.

7 / 10.0 - Concrete Genie

Concrete Genie is a little and charming experience, that makes you feel again the joy of staring, like a child, at a blank page, armed with few brushes and colours, with absolutely no worries in mind.
