Fans have been reassured that Disco Elysium: The Final Cut will still be released this month.
Disco Elysium: The Final Cut was announced last year, and was given a March release window. However, developer ZA/UM has said little about the enhanced version of Disco Elysium, and we are currently in the midst of March. Now the developer has spoken out and assured fans that the game will still release this month. On the Disco Elysium Reddit feed, the developer states that the game will release as planned, and that they posted the update as a way of letting fans know that things are going as planned.
"Folks, the game is releasing in March for sure," ZA/UM posted on Disco Elysium's Reddit feed. "It takes a while to sync and cooperate with all the different storefronts and platforms so that each and every player gets the same coherent experience we've designed. Just wanted to nip this in the bud as I'm seeing a lot of speculation thrown about. Thanks for hanging in there, we're doing our absolute best to ensure quality."
Disco Elysium: The Final Cut was announced at last year's Game Awards. The final cut will be making additions to the original game. This includes full voice acting and new quests. There will also be full controller support and the ability to customize so gamers can play the game with their preferred setup. The PlayStation 5 version will play at 4K with 60 fps. Those who already own the original Disco Elysium will be able to upgrade to The Final Cut at no cost. The game is also expected to come to the Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X/S later this year.
Disco Elysium: The Final Cut will release for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Google Stadia sometime this month.
