Critic Reviews for F1 23

The excellent story, still-superlative career and loot-based F1 World make for a convincing and gigantic F1 experience.

With Braking Point 2 aboard, F1 23 is a far heartier package than F1 22. However, while the new F1 World mode is packed with activities, its loot-based upgrade system may split fans.

Another cutting edge F1 simulator, with a great single-player story mode and a more accessible range of options and modes than ever before.

F1 23 is one of those games that manage to make you love even more a genre that you already liked a lot, or that you even did not like. Few titles can boast of it, and that shows that this work is a real game within the genre of driving and simulation.

F1 23 continues its upward path to offer the best recreation of Formula 1 that, thanks to the return of Braking Point and the inclusion of other novelties, manages to leave better sensations than in 2022. F1 23 is an improvement over last year's iteration, but not nearly as impactful of an upgrade. Here's hoping that the F1 series can continue to build on its successes and take a page out of Red Bull's recent Formula 1 dominance: incremental updates are more valuable than wholesale changes.

It may not be remembered as one of the best titles in the series, but F1 23 has many arrows to its bow. From the driving model to the red flags, Codemasters has made an effort to make its simulation more accessible and fun without distorting its soul too much. The return of Braking Point mode is appreciable, while the addition of the F1 World hub is ideal for those looking for a quick challenge and who like to race online. Graphics, AI, and Career mode are aging badly and needing a refresh.
