Critic Reviews for Fight'N Rage
Six years on from its initial release, Fight’N Rage retains its reputation as one of the greatest beat-’em-ups ever made, as well as a testament to the magnificent talent of its two-person development team. While its vulgar, neon nightmare visuals won’t be to everyone’s taste, and its rock-solid challenge is not to be denied, Fight’N Rage stands above many of its contemporaries as a lesson in retrofuturistic game design, bolstered by the power of a screaming guitar and a well-placed roundhouse.
With its rip-roaring soundtrack and genuinely impressive retro-future graphical style, Fight'N Rage is a treat for the eyes and ears.
Fight’N Rage arrives on Switch and immediately positions itself as one of the must-own action games on Nintendo’s console.
Fight'N Rage borrows heavily from classics like Streets of Rage and Final Fight, but its combat does a great job of building on the basics without making things too complex.
I’m a big fan of Fight’N Rage. Of course, I’ve been a big fan of beat ’em ups for a long time now, but this game does so much right that I have no problem recommending it to someone that isn’t too familiar with the genre.
A surprisingly deep and wholly satisfying side-scrolling brawler, Fight'N Rage is massively enjoyable genre effort that stands shoulder to shoulder with its classic counterparts.
Fight ‘N Rage is a fantastic beat ‘em up. It has simple controls, good mechanics, and a lot of diversity to go along with it. Fans of this genre should not hesitate to pick this one up and even if you only play solo, you’ll still have a fun time with it.
Fight'N Rage may be short but that doesn't stand in its way of presenting itself as a fitting tribute to the golden age of arcade beat'em up games. Easy to learn but difficult to master, with plenty of content to unblock, multiple levels, marvelous looks and soundtrack, this is just what the doctor ordered for people who want to enjoy some good old classic-style beat'em up play.
