6.5 / 10.0 - Stray Gods: Orpheus
Jul 22, 2024

Stray Gods: Orpheus is an interesting way to revisit the Icons universe for people who fell in love with the base game. However, the additional content is unfortunately content to be a small and insignificant addition to the experience as a whole.

MEGATON MUSASHI W: WIRED is a high quality action game, as expected from its developer. Making the most out of the missions and rewards cycle, frantic action and captivating story, Level-5 managed to create a thrilling mecha experience that's worth checking out for those who wish for agile [3D mecha] combat and a colorful 2D sci-fi world to explore by foot.

B-PROJECT RYUSEI*FANTASIA is a visual novel that manages to compellingly discuss the drama of a vast group of boys acting as idols. Being an A&R and managing so many young talents through the plot's turbulences brings with it great insecurity in a story that stands out for its good development in the emotional side.

8 / 10.0 - Kanon
Jul 13, 2024

Kanon is one of the classic titles in the visual novel genre. Though some of its elements have not aged well and may annoy some new players, we have an excellent way to know a piece of Key's history here.

TSUKIHIME -A piece of blue glass moon- is an excellent visual novel with action, magic, and thriller elements that reimagines the classic according to its creator's current storytelling style. With beautiful animations and a high quality [Japanese] voice-acting effort, the game offers a deep dive into the fantastic universe planned by Kinoko Nasu and a retelling worth giving a try even for those who already know the original work.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak introduces a new arc to the franchise with an approach centered on the protagonist, the spriggan Van Arkride. The title stands out as an excellent RPG that explores the conflicting interests of the multiple factions that coexist in Calvard and brings with it a new system that makes the experience closer to a hybrid of action and turn. It's easily one of the best games in the franchise and an excellent way to give a headstart to Calvard's story.

Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD brings to the Switch a 3DS classic that deserves to be explored by new players. With a rewarding exploration scheme and a good variety of challenges, the title is a great addition to the system, but it could have received greater effort, such as more content, to enhance its return.

Radiant Tale -Fanfare- is a title clearly made for the original game fans. This work expands the narrative and keeps the qualities of Radiant Tale but doesn't manage to go much deeper in the experience. The end product is pleasant but not worth it for players who haven't already fallen for the original's charm.

8 / 10.0 - Times & Galaxy
Jun 20, 2024

Times & Galaxy turns the professional journalism experience into a charismatic space travel that delivers both the fascinating aspects of its fictional universe and some conditions that are easy to extrapolate to the real world. The result isn't perfect, but it's a thrilling adventure all the same.

8.5 / 10.0 - The Land Beneath Us

The Land Beneath Us is a tactical roguelite that stands out with its creative system that attaches movement to attacks. The restrictions coming from the system demand a good planning and offer a pleasant challenge worth getting to know.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door brings back a huge Nintendo classic in a respectable edition on Switch. The quality of life additions make the journey even more comfortable for those who are not used to RPGs. It's very easy to see why the title is remembered with such affection by fans, as it manages to offer everything that a good game of the genre needs to have, and the new edition is a good way to experience this.

Samurai Warriors 4 DX is a solid Musou option on PC, offering the level of fun expected from a title in the series. With a good variety of content, the game should please fans of the genre who had not yet enjoyed Samurai Warriors 4, although it already has several defects that should not be ignored in a new release in 2024.

9 / 10.0 - Umbraclaw
May 29, 2024

Umbraclaw manages to convey pretty well its concept of a spirit plane that corrupts individuals and the efforts of a cat to come back to the living world. With its difficulty modes and a combat system in which death is a way to get stronger, what we have here is a bold action platformer with very high quality, easily recommended for all sorts of players.

Duck Detective: The Secret Salami is a criminal investigation adventure that understands very well that less can be more. With a short duration, a compelling mystery filled with twists and a high dose of humor, only those who hate fun will not enjoy it.

The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication is a fair horror game with a few moments of delightful anguish in its finale. Though it doesn't stand out in any specific area and its [Brazilian Portuguese] translation leaves a lot to be desired, it offers an experience that should please the fans of the genre.

Cupid Parasite: Sweet and Spicy Darling is an excellent way to return to the captivating universe of the original game. The first Cupid Parasite was already a high quality otome game with routes that vary widely in their [polt] developments, and the new title expands its fascinating stories laudably. The only real issue is that, as usual for fandisks, it's impossible to recommend this work for anyone who hasn't [experienced and] enjoyed the original.

Read Only Memories: Neurodiver is an adventure game with a fascinating world. With good characters and a phenomenal work on its audiovisual aspects, it's a comfortable experience. Unfortunately, when it comes to the plot and main systems, the general feeling is that the game should have dived deeper to actually have the chance to stay on the collective memories as a big classic of its genre.
