It is not the deepest or most challenging, but it sustains a very entertaining, hilarious adventure, full of variety and memorable situations. Advance Wars has always been one of Nintendo's best games, and this double remake of Wayforward (very visually cute and crammed with content) does it justice. It will take you little time to learn its simple and intuitive mechanics, but you will be able to play it for all eternity without getting bored, against the AI or with its infinite multiplayer.

No More Heroes 3 delivers on the things we would expect from Suda51: a kinetic and addictive combat system that ends up overshadowed by the creative liberties and eccentricities of its creator, leaving a fun but uneven gameplay experience. But the constant experimentation of its mise en scène makes this a stimulating and surprising game.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy is a very good compilation of Ace Attorney games 4, 5, and 6 (also featuring Phoenix Wright), with improvements that weren't in the previous remastered trilogy. That said, all the games in the series are almost identical: to find out if you like them, try the first ones first and then finish the story with this one.

The Side Order is an expansion that no Splatoon 3 fan should overlook: the roguelite format drastically improves the way you enjoy Splatoon single-player. It's very balanced and progress is satisfactory without being frustrating, although you have to adapt to change. It seems like a small thing for DLC, but it's very replayable.

The gameplay of New Pokémon Snap is the same as in N64, but with more Pokémon, dozens of challenges and a social component of "photo mode" that multiplies its potential. Because of the kind of game it is, it inevitably ends up becoming repetitive, but there's a lot to discover before that happens, and it's a beautiful, relaxing retreat if you're looking for escapism.

The geneticists at Frontier have managed to "clone" a version of Jurassic World Evolution that fits in Nintendo Switch and works perfectly, with cutbacks in resolution, but the benefit of portability. As a sim game it falls short in creative options, but it makes up for that with a fine campaign, beautiful dinosaurs and tons of fan service.

Plants vs. Zombies Battle for Neighborville for Nintendo Switch is a really good port, in a technical level, of a fun shooter. It has a good diversity of game modes for single and multiplayer, and a charming art style. We do regret, however, that the game launches on Switch after EA abandoned the game on other platforms.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is bigger and better in every way, even if it looks more like a definitive edition than a sequel. Their campaign doesn't take advantage of the premise of containing wild dinosaurs, and you'll spend most of your time in Nublar and Sorna. But perfect the gameplay with a huge amount of content and that's more than enough.

Ghost Trick: Ghost Detective receives a somewhat poor remaster on Switch, PS4, Xbox, and PC, but enough to rediscover an almost forgotten gem from the creator of Ace Attorney. Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble is a good step forward in the saga, with few but very successful changes: the Spin Dash move enriches the gameplay and its very flexible difficulty guarantees demonic challenges without anyone getting frustrated. Alfred Hitchcock Vertigo may get a ball at first, but if you persevere in the most tedious the story will end up catching you. It's a reimagining of the 1958 classic, with all-new characters and plots. His connection to Hitchcock is sometimes caught by the hair, but he has a personality of his own and a story that deserves to be told.

Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara is an opportunity to revisit the world of Summer in Mara but now as a 3D platform game very "nintendero" and without many innovations, but varied and entertaining and with a control system, already seen in Mail Mole, designed with speedruns in mind. No Straight Roads surprises with its insane yet attractive argument, its likeable protagonists and its eccentric bosses, in long and rich combtes. But it's too short, the difficulty is inconsistent and, in general terms, its gameplay is less solid than its presentation. We Were Here Together is a "escape room" type of videogame, exclusively for two players online. Communication through voice chat is essential to solve the puzzles, but some of them are not very intuitive and the story is weak. Ponpu, a Bomberman spiritual successor, offers solid fun for up to 4 players in local multiplayer. It falls short with its solo campaing, with good boss fights but insipid levels and unreliable controls. Its LIMITLESS possibilities when creating any character reinforce even more the brilliant sense of humor of the game... because the gameplay is way too simple and repetitive to hold your interest for long.
