Balan Wonderworld is just plain bad. Apart from its terrible costume system, it does nothing new and just poorly copies things that other 3D platformers have already done better.
The Jackbox Party Pack 6 brings with it four new games and the sequel to Trivia Murder Party. It's more polished than the previous releases on launch, but none of the new games are particularly great.
Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is essentially a spiritual successor to Donkey Kong Country that ends with a difficult Super Mario Maker-like dungeon. It friggin' rocks.

Gears of War 5 isn't a bad game, it's just the worst game in the series (I quite liked Judgement). It promised to bring new ideas to the series, and it does, but to the detriment of the game as a whole with how poorly designed they all are. The open-world levels are empty and boring, the story is lackluster after a great first act, and the new Escape mode is a fleeting distraction at best. Gears of War needs changes, but not like this.
The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan pales in comparison to Until Dawn in practically every way and only surpasses it in its amount of jankiness.
Remnant: From the Ashes is a surprisingly good combination of Gears of War-like third-person shooting with Souls-like difficulty.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood feels less like the story-driven co-op shooter that it should have been, and more like a product made to cash in on the legendary IP.
