Été is a relaxing painting game with a summery feel, gorgeous visuals, and a lovely soundtrack. It feels perfect for this ridiculously hot summer when the best thing we can do is stay inside and wait for the heat wave to pass. But you know, it will also be perfect for the cold months when we need a reminder of what summer feels like.
Nancy Drew: Mystery of the Seven Keys not a perfect game, but it’s a welcomed and awaited sequel to a great detective game series. It certainly improves on the previous game, Midnight in Salem, and we can only hope the next game will be even better.
Magical Delicacy is easily one of my best games this year. I can’t think of anything big that I didn’t like, and I look forward to playing it again.
Mega Mosaic is a modern take on the classic Minesweeper game, injecting new energy into the beloved logic puzzle genre. With challenging gameplay and updated graphics, it’s a fantastic addition for fans of puzzle games.
Olympicats is a fun addition to an already fun game. Besides a new scene, it also adds new elements to play around with in the level creator. If the developers keep delivering new DLCs with this quality, Meow Moments will surely become a go-to hub for hidden object/ kitten games. In any case, it’s a game that is more than worth it for fans of the genre.
At its heart, Papercut Art Gallery is a standard puzzle game. What makes it unique is the art style of the puzzles themselves. It seems the developers have created genuine paper art and made it into puzzles rather than imitating the style with any picture. The game strongly reminds me of my favorite: the Glass Masquerade game series. If you liked those, you’ll like Papercut Art Gallery as well.
Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince is a gorgeous and fun addition to a great puzzle platformer game series. I highly recommend it if you are a fan of the original trilogy or are in the mood for a truly magical platforming adventure.
Tell Me Your Story is a heartwarming homage to our grandparents and their roles in our lives – by loving us and watching and helping us grow, telling us stories, and imparting us with life-learned lessons. This is a game that goes straight to my cozy go-to list of games, with the likes of Unpacking and Minami Lane to pick me up on a rainy day.
Echoes of the Plum Grove is a charming addition to the well-populated farming/survival sim games genre. While none of the gameplay mechanics are particularly novel, the game’s unique look is sure to attract quite a few fans. At the same time, the game offers more than enough content to make you stay in-game for several seasons.
Cats Balance is a delightful little puzzle game created entirely in a cozy color palette and pixel graphics. The music is pleasant enough, but it can be played with music off while doing something else, as I did.
Harold Halibut is a long-awaited game that more than pays off the wait. It’s a classic adventure game with a lot of soul that shouldn’t be missed.
Since discovering productivity apps, I’ve spent quite a while testing some of them. My daily app is Virtual Cottage, but now, with Spirit City: Lofi Sessions, a worthy opponent has arrived. Between its cozy esthetics, the potential for more customizations, and the integration of other YouTube playlists, I can spend time with Spirit City: Lofi Sessions.
All in all, Sophia the Traveler is a solid entry in the hidden object genre. It has all the hallmarks of an excellent game. For me, the hint recharge time was a bit long. This, coupled with the vast scenes with more minor elements to find, such as bone or a backpack, made for an exhausting rather relaxing experience. But this game is for you if you like detailed hidden object scenes.
Between Horizons is an excellent combination of my favorite genres—sci-fi and detective mystery. It is a well-crafted game that shows great attention to detail and care. It’s a short game: it took me about 4 hours to complete it: but it also has a lot of replay value with its multiple endings. So, if you like sci-fi and investigating, do try Between Horizons; you’ll like it as much as I did.
A Twisted Tale – Chapter 1 is a fun addition to the adventure genre. The developer has announced plans for six more chapters, each presumably set in a different realm with different characters. I eagerly await Vio’s next adventures.
Historical Fashion Dress Up is a short game that can offer some delightful moments for fans of fashion and history. The artwork is great, and the option to print out the dolls as paper dolls gives us some interesting possibilities, whether for entertaining the kids in our lives while educating them or perhaps for use in some craft projects.
Mike’s Garden is a modern, visually pleasing take on the classic Match-3 games. It offers a mix of new and old and tried elements to form a cozy, casual puzzle that will most definitely delight fans of the genre.
Lost and Found Agency Collector’s Edition has all the hallmarks of a good hidden object game: gameplay, artwork, soundtrack, no timer, and hints galore. However, it was not smooth sailing for me, and this is why I can’t recommend it. On the other hand, it has plenty of satisfied players out there.
With Hidden Cats in Berlin, we have yet another winner in the hidden cats genre. I am always excited to play this game series and urgently await the next title. Hidden Cats in Berlin is a great addition to an already great series, and if you need extra incentive, it’s also 20% off until the end of March.
Jewel Legends: Tree of Life is a casual, cozy Match-3 game. With its colorful graphics, pleasant soundtrack, and smooth gameplay, it can quickly suck you in for a few minutes. Getting stuck is almost impossible, so there is no stress. As an added bonus, it’s a game you can play while doing something else.
