Critic Reviews for Kynseed
Kynseed is gorgeous, fun, and surprisingly impactful. Just don't rush through the prologue.
Kynseed is an impressive and wonderful life sandbox RPG, filled with a staggering amount of things to do that'll never grow old.
If you want combat that feels unmatched in a life sim, Kynseed has it. If you want to look at beautiful pixel art, and hear a soundtrack that fits a game exceptionally well, Kynseed has that too. You can pick what you want to do in life and go out and achieve it. There is so much to see and do that it can feel overwhelming. But Kynseed lacks too. There's little emotional toll to building relationships, and frustrating gameplay bugs. The attention to detail is massive in places and lacking in others. Knyseed is close to being the groundbreaking life sim of my dreams. But unfortunately, that dream is still elusive.
Kynseed is a shockingly robust and fully realised fantasy farming-sim that may overwhelm at first but rewards patience with its countless interlocking systems.
Kynseed is a great game to get lost in for hours. With an entire cast of weird and wacky NPC to keep you company. Plenty of mini-games to play and a large world to explore; there is always something to do in Quill
Even with many similarities in relation to some simulators, Kynseed has a lot of personality to stand out among the 2022 releases. Its proposal of being a relaxing game is well executed thanks to its magnificent setting and its simple and well-mapped controls that allow the exploring and navigating between its various menus is not tiring and frustrating. Despite having some slips, it's an adventure worth playing and replaying in different ways, because from the first minutes of the game we make decisions that impact our story. It's a must-buy for fans of farm games.

Folkloric life sim Kynseed is like a gingerbread house with a witch inside: made up of excellent parts and unpleasant surprises. The pretty bits are delightful, but not nearly enough to hold it together.
