The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom might make the princess playable, but that doesn't mean Link is sitting it out completely. As confirmed by the game's ESRB rating, Link will still be playable in the new Zelda game and has a unique moveset.
While it's unclear how the gameplay will be split up, and how long we'll actually be playing as Link, it at least confirms that our usual hero will still be around. It also sounds like he'll control much as he always does, giving Echoes of Wisdom some traditional Zelda combat on top of its new mechanics.
This was just spotted by ResetEra user Neoxon, who shared the ESRB's description of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Here, it's clearly stated that Link is still playable, despite this being widely seen as Zelda's own spin-off game.
"As Link, players use a sword and arrows to defeat enemies," reads the description. "Zelda can use a magic wand to summon creatures (e.g., wind-up knights, pig soldiers, slime) for battle."
