Critic Reviews for Life is Strange: True Colors - Wavelengths
If Before the Storm was the beginning of Steph's story and Life is Strange: True Colors is the end, Wavelengths bridges the gap between the two.
Life is Strange: Wavelenghts is another intimate and delightfully queer chapter of the universe created by Deck Nine Games. Warm and sweet, Steph coming-of-age story, made of records and dies is a welcome missing link between the first Life is Strange and True Colors.

Deck Nine knows how to make the most of its characters, and in this sense the DLC of Life is Strange: True Colors does not disappoint. Steph's story is quite intense on an emotional level and will appeal especially to fans of the first chapter of the series, but it stumbles on the playful front.

As this review shows, while Wavelengths is not essential for any Life is Strange fan, it is a worthwhile experience for anyone who wants to spend more time in Haven. Featuring down-to-Earth gameplay and a small yet lovable cast, Wavelengths is a cozy DLC that can be completed in one sitting.
Life Is Strange: True Colors - Wavelengths is an intimate look at one of the game’s most dynamic characters, and a laid-back experience with meaningful messages behind it.
Wavelengths manages to capture so many emotional moments and story beats, packaging them all up in a short-and-sweet experience that connects the world of Life is Strange together in a way unseen before. Wavelengths is everything and more we could have hoped for with a DLC.
Wavelengths presents an introspective story full of optimism and hope. A great way to delve into the character of Steph and that makes a link with True Colors.

Wavelengths plays it safe, which is a shame. Fortunately, this DLC is a ton of fun thanks to the deeper characterization of one of True Colors' best characters. Steph is a ton of fun to play as and the story is quite meaty.
