Persona 5 Royal Reviews
Persona 5 Royal is ready to steal the hearts of PC, Switch, and Xbox users by improving almost every aspect of the original 2017 version.
Endlessly slick, the battles and story are a joy to play through. No turn-based JRPG feels as good as this.
Persona 5 Royal takes an all-time great JRPG and makes it even greater. Going above and beyond a re-release or a remaster, almost everything has been expanded and improved with an entire game's worth of new content and improvements.
Great new gameplay features can't help the fact that Persona 5 Royal drags on even more than its predecessor
Ultimately, Persona 5 Royal brought me back to the Phantom Thieves, and made me realize how much I missed them and their antics, and the beautiful world where their story occurs. Being able to play this journey on the go only sweetens the deal, and the experience is as immaculate as it was years ago—a masterful port of a masterpiece.
In the end, I guess, it was just another quintessential Persona experience: a wildly, wonderfully fun story-driven game with a story that fails to live up to its own potential and fundamentally misunderstands the core of their own characters. Atlus both made the most of and absolutely squandered the chance to improve upon Persona 5—and honestly? I don’t know what I was expecting.
The definitive version of one of the best Japanese role-playing games ever made, even if it's easy to see the joins with some of the story additions.
While new characters and a new post-game palace are the biggest selling points, the tweaks and improvements make this the best way to experience one of the best RPGs in recent memory
By refining what was already great and building on its best qualities with a brilliant new story arc, Persona 5 Royal asserts itself as an unforgettable and empowering RPG.
If you’ve never played Persona 5, and the idea of a lengthy JRPG about making friends, making evil adults admit their crimes, and fighting monsters sounds cool, this is the definitive way to experience the game.
If you like role-playing and didn't play it on PS4, don't waste your time: it's one of the must-have games of the genre. It's that simple. It doesn't matter if you play it on PC (a great port, at 4K and 120 fps) or on a laptop on Steam Deck or Nintendo Switch (with its technical differences). It is one of those games that, when you start, you will find impossible to stop.

Persona 5 Royal is a stunning game that takes something which has already captured millions of hearts, and makes it even better. This is the quintessential Persona experience. If you're new to the franchise, this game is for you. If you're a seasoned veteran, there is enough new and improved content that this game is still for you.
If Persona 5 was a diamond, the Royal version, with a gigantic amount of changes and improvements, is the treasure of the palace. The spanish localization is the gold that covers it all, and the final detail that makes it a truly invaluable gem for any thief, new or veteran.

A video game that manages to do everything bordering on perfection, but that does not contribute anything too different from its previous version to justify all the work involved in finishing it if you have already played the previous one.

Persona 5 Royal was already a remarkable victory lap for Atlus, but the remaster helps the RPG shine brighter.
Persona 5 Royale is a marvelous victory lap.
Persona 5 Royal is quite frankly one of the best RPGs ever made, and now that it can be played portably you have no more excuses.
For those that have already enjoyed the original game, this is a fan's dream, with everything you could wish for and more, with nearly every aspect improved upon. A spellbinding videogame, and one that deserves to be spoken about in reverential terms for many years to come.
Persona 5 Royal is proof that even the best games can be made better by acknowledging shortcomings and addressing them, however small they are.
