Although failure is recurrent along the way, the game gradually provides small upgrades that will allow even the most casual players to succeed in the end.

If you’ve ever been curious about rogue-lite style games, or Rogue Legacy in general, I see no reason to not give Rogue Legacy 2 a try.
Rogue Legacy 2 is an excellent sequel that takes the compelling magic of the original and throws the kitchen sink at it. It more than lives up to its own legacy with smart additions to the formula and an incredible amount of variety. Unlocking meaningful upgrades and discovering the deep layers of gameplay keep it fresh dozens of hours in. Once you get past the tidal wave of mechanics and information thrown at you, it stands among the best rogue-likes and -lites available.
The first game definitely carved a name in the Roguelike genre, after a period of Early Access and releases on Xbox and Switch Rogue Legacy 2 is a fantastic experience that kept what make the first game so successful and improving a lot of elements elevating the whole experience to a new level.

Rogue Legacy 2 is finally on PlayStation, the uninitiated MUST play this title.
Rogue Legacy 2 is the pinnacle of what the genre should be and is a must-play for fans of the original and newcomers alike. Now go make your ancestors proud!
Rogue Legacy 2 is everything you loved about the first game and thensome. It’s the most satisfying roguelite since Dead Cells and a game you’ll just keep coming back to again and again. Even if the original wasn’t your cup of tea, Rogue Legacy 2 does enough different to be worth a second look, though you will need patience to contend with its early stages. Stick with it and you’ll be heavily rewarded with refreshing content, a great challenge and some truly wonderful moments
Rogue Legacy 2 on PS5 is the best way to experience what Cellar Door Games has done since its original release to cement its, erm, legacy.
Rogue Legacy 2's long gestation has benefitted it immensely. It comes to PS5 in the shape of its life, and it is easily among the best Metroidvania-style games on the market today.
An excellent sequel that marries Metroidvania style exploration with a dizzying array of new combat mechanics, to make one of the best roguelike experiences of this or any year.
Rogue Legacy 2 manages to bring back everything that worked in the first game and improve in almost all aspects. consegue trazer tudo que funcionou no primeiro jogo e melhorar quase todos os aspectos. Making use of the excellent premise and gameplay of the classic title, this sequel doesn't try to reinvent the wheel but knows how to get the most out of the strengths it already had and add a lot of content on top. Switch's performance is impeccable and playing this excellent roguelike in portable mode anywhere is highly recommended.

Rogue Legacy 2 is a thoroughly recommended pick-up for just about anyone, and now that it’s on the Switch, that’s even more the case since it becomes a portable “just one more run affair” alongside other modern classics like Hades and Loop Hero. You should waste no time in adding this game to your game library, it’s well worth it!
One of the OG roguelike classics has been given an overhaul but retains its unusual charms and challenges
Rogue Legacy 2 is - to put it simply - a banger. While it's not a game-changing revelation, it manages to follow up on everything that made the original great and makes it bigger and better. Even once you've bested the bosses, you've barely scratched the surface of what this has to offer, considering the in-depth New Game Plus mode and the wealth of content contained across all available classes and options. Whether you loved the original Rogue Legacy or never played it but like a good roguelike, this is a game you simply can't afford to miss.
In many ways, Rogue Legacy 2 aligns with the gold standard of the roguelite category by creating a highly engaging, dare I say addicting, gameplay loop that rewards multiple types of players. Newer players will find enjoyment in its accessibility levers and bite-sized progression while roguelite veterans will enjoy its deeper-than-expected class-based variance. Sure, you probably will die a lot, and you'll wish to have a greater connection with its world and the characters within; at the end of the day, its flaws are outweighed by the amount of fun that is to be had by experimentation and repetition. My nearly twenty hour experience felt like two hours, and I still itch to return for one more run. Regardless if you're a PS+ subscriber or not, Rogue Legacy 2 is more than deserving of your time.
Rogue Legacy 2 is the perfect sequel. It retains the core of what made the original fantastic, with every feature adding tremendously to the experience. Its cleverly revised class system adds near-limitless gameplay variety, which makes each attempt fun – even when you fail abysmally. This game is everything I wanted from the follow-up, and then some.
Rogue Legacy 2 is a Roguelite textbook, with solid mechanics and an understanding of the best parts of the genre, with a focus on improving, and even eliminating most of your frustrations. A charismatic game with its comic art and solid mechanics.

Rogue Legacy 2 is near perfect and will have players exploring the castle for many hours. If you are a fan of roguelikes or Metroidvania I highly recommend this!
In conclusion, while Rogue Legacy 2 is more of a refinement than a revolution, it nonetheless stands out as another must-have Roguelike, which is impressive given the ever-increasing supply of quality titles in the genre. Even if the plate is currently full, this is another tasty dish that is worth savoring when the craving comes calling again.
