Bayonetta 2 Reviews
It may not be the perfect sequel, but Bayonetta 2 is a satisfying one nonetheless. Some steps were taken forward and a couple backwards; resulting in a very polished and good looking game with some design choices that might annoy hardcore fans of the original. Hopefully, Bayonetta 3 only takes steps forward.
With Bayonetta 2, Platinum Games has done an incredible job and successfully merged the most exciting elements of most popular Hack ‘n’ Slashes into its own formula and made a game that could easily be the best that this genre has to offer.

Bayonetta 2 is a declaration to the Demons of Inferno, and the Angels of Paradiso that Bayonetta is here to stay. The second game in the series takes the stylistic action of the first game and turns the dial to 10. The game features new weapons, breathtaking set pieces, and new features that solidify Bayonetta as the Queen!
Bayonetta 2 is an all-round improvement on the-fun-but-flawed Bayonetta, which I guess is exactly what you’d want from a sequel. It’s visually sharper and technically smoother. It feels just slightly less seedy to participate in, and it has a more coherent (but still convoluted and far-reaching) story, with basically the same combat experience that was the boon of Bayonetta-the-first. Despite all this, in my heart of hearts, I can only tentatively give it the green light for this, a consumer review. It’s a bit like junk food: enjoyable moment to moment, but after nearly 30 hours of the franchise, I feel bloated and tired, with no desire to dive back in for a second go anytime soon. Maybe with some distance, I’ll feel differently.
Bayonetta is back once again with a decent first appearance on Nintendo Switch that doesn't do anything new compared to the original versions, but that works fine as an appetizer for the upcoming Bayonetta 3 - and as a second chance for everyone who missed the second game on the Nintendo Wii U.

The fact that there aren’t a lot of changes made or new content in Bayonetta 2 on Switch doesn’t stop it from being one of the finest action titles available on Nintendo’s newest console.
Bayonetta 2 may not be appealing to everyone. Its sexuality and over-the-top tone may be a frustration to some. However, from a design and gameplay point of view, it is up there with the best in its genre. Bayonetta, the side-characters, and the world you’re fighting in are crazy and unique while the combo focused action is deep, yet accessible enough that you feel like an expert in no time. The Nintendo Switch version may not feature much that the Wii U original does not, but the console hybrid is the best place to play one of the best action games of all time. If nothing else, the re-release has made me more excited for Bayonetta 3 than I ever thought I would be.
Bayonetta 2 is a perfect choice to port over to the Nintendo Switch. The eclectic action and story is a treat on its own, but it's amazing how great it looks and plays when in handheld mode.
The original Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 are still magnificent nowadays, and the Nintendo Switch version succeeds to allow you to re-experience them on the latest console, even in a portable way. If you are a fan of action games but haven't tried the original version before, don't hesitate to buy the bundle. They might be the greatest action games until the releases of God of War 4 or Bayonetta 3.

Still one if the best action games around, with a unique look all if its own, and the ability to play it on the go makes it one of the best releases of the year.

Bayonetta 2 is still an essential game despite the time since its launch on Wii U. This version may not provide excessive improvements or novelties, but if you didn't play at the time, you are facing the perfect opportunity to do so.

Platinum Games shining star from the days of the Wii U has made a huge comeback now that it's on the Nintendo Switch. With a heavy amount of action, a nearly 60fps experience, and huge replay value, Bayonetta 2 is right at home on the Switch. Fans of the game will fall in love all over again, while newcomers will be in for a massive treat.
Bayonetta 2 is an absolute masterpiece that should be experienced even if the character action game genre is not normally your cup of tea. It gleams with creativity and polish in absolutely every department.
Overall, Bayonetta 2 was a classic for the Wii U and guess what, it’s still a classic for the Nintendo Switch. If you didn’t have the fortune (or misfortune, I guess) of owning a Wii U, this is the perfect chance to catch up with the series. It’s a game that deserves to be played by more people and hopefully will. As far as all-action games go this is definitely top tier and is unlikely to be beaten anytime soon, at least not until Bayonetta 3 is released. If you’re into action games, this is completely essential.
Two beautiful slashers moved to Switch. They work great, they look good, they play gorgeously. Fans of the genre, these are definitely not worth missing.

Bayonetta 2 for the Switch hasn't disappointed us on any part. Without exaggeration, this is the rawest gameplay you can find on a small device. The game is as good as it is that it's over-the-top! Dante (from Devil May Cry) is better off giving up, as the eyes are on Bayonetta 3.

Bayonetta 2 for Switch is easily one of the best ports that has received the console. Yeah, its the same game that we already played on the Wii U and it doesnt offer anything new aside from the amiibo functionality. However, this is not something necesarelly bad because it is still the great, awesome and hectic action game we loved but in a portable version. Even those who have own the first version need to add this fantastic title to their Switch library.

Even after all these years, Bayonetta 2 on the Nintendo 2 is still a very fun experience with a great gaming engine, exceptional graphics and a female protagonist that will make you laugh and also give you a healthy dose of controller rage.
