Overall, I enjoyed my time with Metroid Prime Remastered... I do think it's a great game, although it could have used a few more quality-of-life changes to make it land better for the more casual Metroid audience like myself.
Metroid Prime Remastered is a faithful beat-for-beat recreation of the GameCube classic with a comprehensively polished visual makeover. It remains a solid adventure shooter, even if its straightforward approach to player progress is a little unexciting these days. I’ve certainly not hated my time with it, though I do hate its refusal to properly credit the team that worked on the original.
The best way to write a love letter to a game is to remake it years later, staying faithful to its essence.

Even after all these years, the allure of Metroid Prime remains intact, largely due to its incredible atmosphere that only shines brighter thanks to the updated visuals and controls scheme of this Remastered edition.

Metroid Prime Remastered is simply the new benchmark on how a remastered should be done. Graphical compartment redone from scratch, an optimization capable of delivering unthinkable performance on Nintendo Switch, and a full-bodied set of quality-of-life improvements are just a splendid adornment to a first-person adventure (don't call it an FPS if you don't get mad) that hasn't aged a day in the last two decades. A more than recommended purchase if you love the genre, both for those who have never known the series and for those who are just waiting to hear when the long-awaited fourth installment will arrive.

Metroid Prime Remastered modernizes a classic, keeping everything good about it and fixing some of the few things that wouldn’t make sense to modern players. While a few late game design choices stop it from being near perfect, there are precious few better games you can play on a Nintendo Switch in 2023. New players should run to pick this one up, and those who haven’t touched it in twenty years won’t find a better way to revisit this classic.

Metroid Prime Remastered is the gold standard when it comes to “Remasters”. It doesn’t add anything of significance, but it’s not a remake nor does it tout itself as one. Instead, it takes all the iconic aspects of the original title and makes sure they are of a standard that matches the current gaming standard. The game remains to be a gritty, fun, and immersive experience. While the combat isn’t quite as good as the exploration, it still provides a must-play package not only for fans of the original but also for people who may have joined the series a little later. We can only hope that Metroid Prime 2 and 3 aren’t too far behind!
If you have a Nintendo Switch, there are some games that I would definitely say to try, Metroid Prime Remastered easily falls into that list.

Metroid Prime Remastered is a genuinely stunning remaster of the beloved GameCube Classic. Retro Studios have gone above and beyond in recreating the assets and implementing superb twin-stick gameplay. Prime Remastered only improves on its original release and acts as the definitive way to experience the 2002 classic.
An undeniable classic refined with modern graphics and controls, as well as a bevy of accessibility options. While it's still an amazing gaming experience, it does raise the question where the two sequels remain. The re-release on the Wii already showed the games' agelessness, even if the new graphical enhancements are welcome. Either an even lower retail price or more substancial changes would have been welcome, but what we got is still enough to make Metroid fans rejoice.

Metroid Prime Remastered is an awesome remaster of an awesome game that remains one of Samus' most iconic adventures so anyone who loves Metroid or first-person games in general should definitely play it. She has certainly come a long way since her NES debut.
