Who knew Forza Horizon could get even better? Yet Playground Games has done it again. It's extremely hard to criticise Forza Horizon 3. Not only is it absolutely stunning, it's done a fantastic job of putting you at the centre of the racing in every way possible.
Perfectly distilling the Horizon formula, Playground Games have produced a racer that's varied, exciting and gorgeous to look at - and arguably the best of the generation.
Forza Horizon 3 truly tries its best to be all you could possibly want from an open world racing game and has easily surpassed its predecessors in almost every way. In the 10 years since Test Drive Unlimited changed the racing genre for the better, I finally feel like I've played its spiritual successor, and it was certainly worth the wait.
Forza Horizon 3 is the Godfather 2 of the series. It’s taken everything you loved about the first two games, added some 100s and 1000s sprinkles of pure magic, and you now have what is arguably one of the best racing games of all time. It’s for both the driving enthusiast and the clueless among us. Forza Horizon 3 is really for everyone. If you own an Xbox One or PC you owe it to yourself to be part of this vibrant festival celebration of automobile crack.

As if it was in much doubt, Forza Horizon 3 is one of the finest games you'll find on the Xbox One right now. It's so incredible to look at, so beautifully crafted and so enjoyable to play that there are literally hundreds of hours of fun to be had here. Maybe more than that once additional content comes along.

Forza Horizon 3 is one of those games that you simply cannot miss if you are looking for how to get the most out of your Xbox One or, failing that, a very well-armed PC, well, it must be said, the game can be run at 4K on Windows . We have not had a racing game of this caliber for a long time, so if you are thirsty for speed, there simply is no better option, especially if we take into account that Gran Turismo Sport has left the horizon of this 2016. Hopefully all the exclusives of Microsoft platforms had the quality and finesse of this product from the British studio.

When you pose the analysis of Forza Horizon 3 you know in advance what you will find. Freedom, great music, heart-stopping graphics and loads of hours of wild driving ahead. However, the pleasant surprise is to see that it is not a mere clone of Forza Horizon 2, but that PlayGround Games, despite the obvious continuity, knows how to add elements that give freshness to the whole.

With Forza Horizon 3, the Xbox One holds this year's racing game 2016 and sends the competition back to the ropes. The flaws seen in the past have been erased over the years and it is impossible to say that you love cash registers without having this opus in your game library. Forza Horizon 3’s best moments come up when you least expect it, but when you are driving a warthog in the middle of the night through the outback listening to Horizon Pulse. It just clicks. I’ve played quite a few racing games for the past few years. Never have I played one that I have enjoyed as much as this one. Is riding a Warthog through someone’s trash silly? Yeah it is, but it sure as hell is fun to do.
In the absence of other open-world racing series like Burnout Paradise and Test Drive Unlimited, the Forza Horizon series has steadily become a racing staple, and with Forza Horizon 3, it's now on cruise control. With a revised skill system, a wealth of racing content, and a co-operative campaign, you'll want to bend and curve around every corner in picturesque Australia landscape at least once, even if that's the only time.
