Critic Reviews for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is an amazing game with a deep roster and diverse modes to choose from.
The result is almost certainly the definitive version of Smash. Not all of it works, but plenty does, leaving us with a fine solo game and a wonderfully, wilfully chaotic multiplayer brawler. Smash is still too unrefined to be the choice of the Nintendo connoisseur, perhaps, but as long as you don't take it too seriously, it is riotously good fun.
The definitive installment of the fan-favorite fighting franchise has established itself on the Nintendo's latest home console in the form of the appropriately titled 'Super Smash Bros. for Wii U'.
Same great Smash Bros. gameplay, amazing new presentation on the Wii U. Whether you're looking for technical depth or enjoyable chaos, you'll find it here.
The search for the perfect offline mode continues, but even without it this is the best Smash Bros. so far and one of the best fighting games of all-time.
Eight-player matches, loads of challenges, and the best stage designs yet make this a no-brainer for anyone who likes to have fun
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is among the best fighting games ever made.
Pound for pound, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U has been the most fun I've had playing video games in 2014, and a well-polished crown jewel in the Wii U's library. I've spent dozens of hours Smashing roomfuls of friends into oblivion, grinding through events and hunting down unlockables — and, happily, I feel like I'm just getting started.
