Critic Reviews for The Mobius Machine
A polished, beautifully rendered Metroidvania with a huge map, plenty of upgrades, and moments of intense frustration.
The Mobius Machine is a fine Metroidvania with an emphasis on sci-fi shooting, but its map issues and weak upgrades drag it down.
The Mobius Machine is, at its core, a decent metroidvania hampered by the disproportion between the enormous size of its map and the low variety of scenarios, discoveries, rewards, and even resources that help revisit the world more efficiently. Those who like challenges will have something to find here, but for the rest, the real challenge will be to maintain interest and patience.

If The Mobius Machine incorporated additional unique elements and was more streamlined to navigate, it would have been a great game.
In the grand scheme of things, it's a solid addition to the Metroidvania pantheon.
The Mobius Machine has some well executed ideas. The exploration is fun thanks to the available skills that modify our movement considerable. Besides that, the secrets, such as secret rooms and upgrade diagrams, motivate navigating through the world, even if it doesn't take us to the final goal directly. However, the combat leaves a lot to be desired. The variety of projectiles is unappealing and do not help diversify clashes, and there's little variety to enemies — And when there is some [graphical difference], they use attack and movement patterns identical to others. Even so, I still believe it's worth recommending it to those who love challenging exploration and won't be bothered by these issues.
