We now have a window for when The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be upgraded for next-gen consoles.
We can still expect the next-gen upgrade for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to come out this year. On Twitter, CD Projekt Red lead PR manager Radek Grabowski confirmed that the update will drop in the second half of 2021. No other information was given, other than the confirmation that the upgrade will release this year.
The upgraded version for The Witcher 3 was first revealed last September. This version of the game will release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. It will be the Complete Edition of the title, and will come with the base game, both of the expansions, and extra content. The upgraded version of The Witcher 3 will include a number of visual and technical improvements, including ray tracing and faster loading times. This version of The Witcher 3 will be available as a standalone purchase, though those who own the game on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One can upgrade to the next-gen version for free.

The Witcher 3 was a hit when it released, and garnered over 250 Game of the Year awards back in 2015.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. The game will come to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S later this year.
