Critic Reviews for Vertigo 2

Vertigo 2 is a decent and lengthy VR shooter, but it  comes up short when compared to other PSVR 2 games. It's a big game by a solo developer, filled with varied environments, weapons and enemies, but it's just not as refined as the best VR games. Still, it's well worth a look if you fancy a bit of a VR shooter romp.

Vertigo 2 is a charming game which had me itching to play more, with great writing and replayability.

Vertigo 2 is packed with great ideas. Being built specifically for VR, there is a nice layer of tactility with the inventory and reload systems. There are plenty of wonderful set pieces that make a bunch of memorable moments throughout the well-paced campaign. Although the visuals are dated and bugs will crop up from time to time, it’s still a wonderful, ambitious game.

A sci-fi shooter with a strong reputation, Vertigo 2 doesn't move the needle strongly one way or the other. It's a lengthy outing by VR standards, so there is some bang for your buck, but it simply doesn't do enough to standout on PS VR2.

The writing is fun too, though the sound design can often undercut things by blaring over the top of dialogue on default settings. We missed some jokes early on before making corrections. It's great that the title is so fun though, because it also happens to be quite a bit longer than we’ve grown accustomed to with VR titles. Clocking in at nearly 10 hours, Vertigo 2 is a PSVR2 must-play. This is achieved through a combination of great gameplay, fun, often insane boss fights, a playful tone, and oh so much more.

Vertigo 2 is a beautifully quirky and genuinely fun action-adventure game that you'll enjoy on your first playthrough, and can return to again and again for slightly different experiences. It's a shame, of course, that there are a few minor niggles, and that the game might run out of steam towards the end.

Vertigo 2 is a weird game that can be off-putting for sure but once you get immersed in its odd world, you'll end up having a blast.

Vertigo 2 easily stands out as one of the most impressive releases on PlayStation VR 2, with its action-packed adventure offering a wonderful world to explore, zany storytelling, and thrilling shootouts. I’ll admit, I didn’t even know the game existed before playing, but it didn’t take long to hook me in with its intuitive design and exciting gameplay mechanics. It’s really, REALLY good. I mentioned that PlayStation VR 2 didn’t have many must-play games at the start of this review, but believe me, Vertigo 2 is one title you won’t want to miss.
