With a ton of superior Soulslikes out there, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn simply feels unnecessary. It's the sort of game that seems like it was made to be Game Pass filler but even then, there are dozens upon dozens of better games available for the service. 💥
I enjoyed my time with Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition and will continue to do so thanks to its fun weekly challenges. I hope that this means we'll see indieszero's Retro Game Challenge 1 + 2 Replay release in the west soon. 📺
I'm blown away that Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess seemingly came out of nowhere and it's as awesome of a game as it is. From its exciting strategic combat to its gorgeous moments of downtime all wrapped in outstanding audio, I absolutely can't wait for a sequel. 🏯
I had an entertaining time with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate. If you plan on playing it cooperatively then you'll have a blast but either way, its repetition will sink in eventually so keep that in mind before entering the sewers. 🍕
Some people will think the gameplay is too boring and others may love its unique and creative concept too much to care. In the end, I found myself right in the middle. 🚲
None of DROS' individual elements are particularly spectacular but they all come together nicely to create a solid puzzle platformer. The weaker aspects of its presentation don't matter as much because the stronger aspects such as art style and satisfying world-building shine when they need to. If the gameplay is all you care about, DROS also does that well enough to get a thumbs-up from me! 🖤
I found V Rising to be quite fun and with its many gameplay elements, options, and multiplayer modes; you'll likely find a lot to love here. 🧛
The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak is a great start to a brand new arc with its elements ranging from expected to impressively fresh and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what happens next. ⚔️
I didn't quite know what to expect with Rusted Moss but it completely blew me away and it's now one of my favourite Metroidvanias.
If you enjoyed the original then you'll adore FROGUN Encore, especially if you're looking for a new co-op game to play with a pal.
What happens when you slap a bunch of iconic sprites on a boring and tedious mobile game? You get METAL SLUG ATTACK RELOADED.
Yes, NeoSprint has dated gameplay but once it starts to click, you'll find yourself hooked as you skillfully win race after race.
Exo One is a superbly engrossing and entertaining abstract adventure so if that's your kind of game then be sure to play it.
I enjoyed Fruit Mountain even more than Suika Game which is impressive so if you're looking for a bite-sized casual puzzler, play it!
I had an excellent time revisiting the 2D action in Rocket Knight Adventures: Re-Sparked Collection. Although I was reminded just how great these games are, I also remembered how frustrating they can be but overall, this is one exceptional package. 🚀
I had a lovely time playing Luigi's Mansion 2 HD as it brought back memories as well as solidified how special of a series these ghost-busting adventures are. Plus, the animation and audio design remain some of the best in all of gaming. 👻
With its brilliant stage designs, adorable presentation, and welcome new ability, Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble is the most amount of fun I've had monkeying around since the original debuted. 🐵
Even with its slight shortcomings, ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree is the best expansion that I've ever played thanks to its unique-feeling world that behaves more like a 1.5 sequel than a mere extension of what players have come to expect. 💍
This iteration of Monster Hunter Stories received a lovely visual upgrade and it delivers a fun-filled and emotional story with supremely rewarding monster hunting at the forefront. I'm very happy that we can now play it on modern consoles. 🐱
I had a blast with Mixture and would love to see a sequel one day, especially considering just how well-mixed of a cocktail it is.
