Critic Reviews for Xenoblade Chronicles 3D
'Xenoblade Chronicles 3D' manages to provide JRPG fans with one of the best ports in recent memory, making the once Wii-exclusive a must-have on the New Nintendo 3DS.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3D shrinks an epic RPG into a nifty portable form. Even though the New 3DS' speedier hardware can't make it look quite as good as it does on the Wii, its scope and scale still make it an impressive and deep game that's well suited for play on the go.
A technically impressive port of a masterly RPG, though the small screen ultimately proves too restrictive for a game of this scope.
It'll take more than a few compression issues to take the shine off of this JRPG classic.
Still the best Japanese role-player of the last generation, even if squeezing it down onto the New 3DS does it few favours.
Xenoblade innovates, while also remembering the things people adore about the genre
Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is a valiant attempt at bringing an ambitious and expansive RPG to the handheld realm. For the most part it works, but the original undoubtedly shines brighter than this tweaked offering.
