Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is a very good remake on a visual level, although not so much on a gameplay level, as it remains almost intact compared to the GameCube title.

Tales of Kenzera: ZAU is a discreet, well-thought-out metroidvania that is accessible to the vast majority of players, both experienced and new. A proposal that will be attractive to lovers of the genre. However, those who are looking for a title at the level of the best games of this title, currently has a wide range of alternatives on the market that they will surely enjoy more.

Princess Peach: Showtime! It is a game that should be looked at from the perspective that it is a product for all audiences, with all the good and bad that this entails. It may not be the game you were hoping for, but it is the one that is sometimes necessary to take care of the inner child in you.

Dragon's Dogma returns with a sequel that lives up to expectations, which invites us to fully immerse ourselves in a universe that we can enjoy in the way we like thanks to the different vocations available. A sequel that is quite continuous with respect to the original installment and Dark Arisen, in the good, but also in the bad. After enjoying Capcom's new gem, we can't overlook some mechanizations that seem a bit old and that perhaps could have been polished and modernized a little more. Despite this, this is an outstanding RPG title that will delight all fans of the genre

The premise of Pacific Drive is unique and original in many ways, although in others it can be a bit tedious and tiresome. It is a game in which we must be patient and not go crazy, because it is better to go little by little so as not to fall into despair. Being a first-person survival rogue-lite, it has its own twist and nothing will be the same in every exploration, but for my taste a third-person option would have been good for it.

Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth is a major evolution from the Remake. This is a title whose ambition is much greater, and which sports an open world full of detail and life that is very rewarding to explore. Despite the fact that not all secondary content shines in the same way, it is undeniable that Square-Enix's effort to provide freshness and variety is noticeable from the moment we begin to take the first steps of this second chapter.

It's a very faithful remake in terms of gameplay, with all the good and all the bad that comes with it. But the level design is still excellent, and the new worlds that this version brings are a breath of fresh air that suits it wonderfully. Mario's reduced mobility may shock those who are more accustomed to the plumber's big jumps and pirouettes in games that are purely platformers, but what makes Mario vs. Donkey Kong shine is its puzzles and the ingenuity behind them.

Arrowhead Game Studios has been able to release a sequel that improves in every aspect what was seen in its first video game. One of the best cooperative titles we've probably had in a long time, where fun and madness go hand in hand, something that, sometimes, is difficult to watch in a video game of this type. So, if you want to have some fun time with your buddies on a rainy afternoon, I think Helldivers 2 is the best thing you can play right now. Now it's your turn to be the next Helldiver.

Having completely finished Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, I can say that it is part of one of the best releases that will be released in this current year 2024. If you're looking for a story full of tension, emotion, and complicated decisions, this is the game for you. And if you already like combats full of magic, action, great animations and unbearable enemies, it will be a success if you get it. In short, this semi-open-world action RPG is one of the greatest successes that the developer has brought to life.

Lysfanga is a title that engages, entertains and, above all, surprises. It probably won't go down in history as the game of the year, but it's certainly a title that fans of the genre will fall in love with.

Is this the same Rocksteady Studios that made the legendary Batman: Arkham? Honestly, I don't know, but the game doesn't fulfill in hardly any of its various sections, being an adventure that I would only recommend if you decide to buy it at a price well below what it is currently at.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is not simply a short story to contextualize the presence and appearance of Kazuma Kiryu in the chronology and history of Ichiban Kasuga. In the same way that Yakuza 0 ended up representing a magnificent 'separate' installment, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name also manages to maintain itself by pulling nostalgia and some other curious novelty.

The Talos Principle 2 is a work that excels as a video game, excels as art, and excels as a reflection, thus becoming one of the best titles of the entire year. In addition to being a substantial improvement over its predecessor, Croteam has managed to materialize a beautiful production that stands out for its entertainment but, even more, transcends for its ability to make us revalue the beauty of humanity, life and existence.

Alan Wake II is the big surprise of the year, a title that gets fully into the fight of the GOTY 2023 and elevates the Survival-Horror genre to another level. A never-before-seen level where I can only pour praise on it. If you are afraid this game is not for you, but if it is not the case I recommend that you sit back and enjoy it. Thank you Remedy.

Ghostrunner 2 is, above all, a great video game. Strictly speaking, it is a pleasant sequel that represents a noticeable improvement in plot, playability, visuals and sound; an achievement that is, due to the quality of its predecessor, a milestone in itself. However, its profound technical shortcomings, as well as the misinterpretation of what made the original experience so genuine and fresh, keep it from transcending as much as the first, although it continues to be a highly recommended product.
