Perhaps the game has not been fully exploited in all aspects; Many scenarios look similar, giving the impression of having visited them constantly and there is not a large number of different enemies. The story is not a prodigy of originality either, but it is well carried, manages to convey drama and has interesting twists. And even with everything, the work that stars in these lines is still a good starting point for something that with successful updates could be as interesting as the playing field that presents us.

The particular setting of the game, inspired by the Victorian era and surrounded by a soundtrack so discreet that sometimes it seems to disappear, invites a lot to that slow and reflective way of seeing them coming that it proposes to us. The fact that you have to advance a lot to find the truly complicated challenges also tells us about the patience that such a title requires, but everything along the way is so balanced, so well studied and so satisfying when we finally find the right key, that the hours invested in it will not leave us with that mental exhaustion typical of other products of the same genre.

Let's face it: we love to live great stories and feel part of them. Although it is not the main thing in a video game, a good plot will always catch the player for many hours of gameplay. And this Agatha Christie – Hercule Poirot: The London Case achieves this purpose, proposing an exciting and well-written plot, with a multitude of very well planned and not cheating twists, an enviable rhythm, brilliant dialogues and characters that overflow charisma.

In the end, you can define Quake II, in one word: intensity. Those sweet moments that get some works in which not only the mechanics are fun, but work as a gear for a greater cause. In this case, maintain its dizzying pace and help the player to use the entire team without falling into conformism. So much so that, after finishing the campaign, the first question that comes to mind is: what if I start again with the amount of things I have learned now? That's where it all makes sense and you realize that, indeed, Quake II is eternal.

Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg is an invitation to rescue the dreams we left behind, some of which are claiming a place in our adult lives to feel ourselves again. And it does so through a very minimalist and colorful proposal that seems taken from a story. A proposal that emphasizes relaxation without resorting to tension, to be able to walk at our own pace feeling our own feet.

Since its inception, the video game has deployed an aesthetic spectrum that has enabled new ways of representing death. It could be thought that the differences between the video game and other media such as cinema arise from the meeting of two great cultural forms such as the story and the game, but the current panorama shows a scenario full of mixtures and passages.

In the end, Layers of Fear (2023) is all that, a place where darkness and enigmas invade everything. The first part of the experience consists of a tunnel of terror with very few mechanics to its credit, in which the setting, light and sound effects are present in each car. In the second, we will have to defend ourselves from elements that only inhabit our worst nightmares ... A cast that will be responsible for making it difficult for us and that promise a macabre journey to the depths of terror.

And perhaps that is the greatest success of this game, beyond the monsters that terrify us so much, to understand what war really means. In understanding that, at a certain point, there is no longer a border between good and evil, but that everyone is part of evil and the true border is between those who can live with it and those who cannot.

In this regard, slowing down its execution to get out of it, without additional iterations.

From Cyber Connect 2 they intend to make the player reflect on many aspects, directly hitting the morality of each person. Not only does it try to get us into the skin of the different members that make up the work, but it also puts us in the position of doubting if in our day to day we are doing the right thing. When we make the decision we think is the right one, we move forward with our idea blinded to the end, without listening to the advice of those around us. And perhaps, this means that we realize the error when it is too late. This is Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2.
