Pro Cycling Manager 2024 is not a good game. But it's not a bad game either. Its biggest problem is that the franchise has been more or less the same for years, going nowhere and not even trying to attract a new audience. So who is this new edition for?

I can't say I didn't have fun with Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition. Far from it. This collection just goes to show how timeless these classic NES games were. However, they're still just relics of a bygone era, and this collection doesn't bring anything new or extra to the table to justify such a hefty price tag.

The developers of the new TMNT games took a lot of ideas from the creators of the indie hit Hades and come up with a really fun game with great co-op, but lacking in original ideas.

The gameplay of Tour de France 2024 is engaging, especially for road cycling fans. However, it's almost identical to its predecessor and technically outdated in graphics, animations, and basic physics, with issues like invisible walls. Various glitches, including game freezes, also detract from the experience. Due to these issues, it's hard to recommend the game to anyone other than hardcore cycling enthusiasts.

The new Riven is a polished relic from a bygone era when games were made very differently. And played very differently. It offers a very different experience to what's on the market today. I don't think it will be a bestseller, but it will certainly appeal to those who like to explore unconventional worlds and solve challenging puzzles. Plus, you can play it in VR.

Star Wars: Hunters is a surprisingly fun and good game that you should definitely check out. The characters, maps, modes and even the gameplay are well balanced, designed and even implemented in the game. There's just something missing. Over time, you'll find that it lacks depth, and longer matches would definitely help.

The Night Springs DLC expands on the rich and interwoven storyline of Alan Wake 2 in a truly unexpected way. The trio of different stories bring their own protagonists and their own approach to gameplay. In some places it's more of a classic approach, in others it's a novel mix. It's a must for fans, but don't expect any definitive answers to your questions.

Amongst other things, there is a lack of good taste that could ensure a fun and balanced gaming experience. Instead, we have a game that doesn't know what it wants to be. As a result, every aspect of it is pretty bad. The action gameplay is dragged down by the physics, the horror rollercoaster by the lack of content, the social satire by the witless humour.

The action, while entertaining, is a bit of a drag. There are also bugs and glitches. There are more minor flaws like this, and they spoil the overall experience. But at its core, it's a fun multiplayer game with well-designed mechanics and well-balanced sides.

With Madison, we got a unique indie horror game that was wonderfully atmospheric and genuinely scary. It also scored with a very well-written, multi-layered story. All of this is present here. However, the controls and interactions don't translate well to virtual reality, often being clunky and choppy, and can take you out of the immersion and atmosphere of the game.

Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is, at its core, a short game, but an excellent one. But it's not for everyone. It's a bloody and often disgusting experience based on strong emotions and immersion in a character that just won't let you go. It's more of an artistic experience than a traditional game.

We Are Football 2024 is going its own way, improving on what we saw for the first time three years ago. It still hasn't caught up with its rival, but that's impossible with such a small team. In some ways, the game makes sports management accessible even to non-players of the genre. In others, however, it really falls short.

Endless Ocean Luminous is an enjoyable diving adventure in which you get to know many species of marine animals and the reason for their protection. However, the game quickly becomes stereotypical, and the story is incomprehensibly locked behind a series of generic and tediously repetitive quests outside of the story mode.

Lunar Lander Beyond shows that you can take the simplex gameplay of the '70s, give it a modern look, mechanics and story, and the result is an addictive game that will keep you entertained for those few hours.

It's a shame that a game as high quality and unique as Harold Halibut is plagued by technical problems and bugs that can make the gameplay really unpleasant at times. It's a rich and deep experience that will grab you by the heart and make you fall in love with its characters over the course of more than 10 hours of gameplay.

New Star GP is fun, addictive, and immediately grabs you with its intuitiveness and accessibility. But at the same time, it does grow tiresome over time. The basic formula is so repetitive that you might not play it one day and forget about it the next. Of course, the split-screen is a great addition and there's no shortage of content, but it lacked one very important thing that you won't find here: online multiplayer.

Despite its minor flaws, qomp2 is a really addictive game that you'll find hard to put down. Even its difficulty won't put you off, and you'll happily endure the few hundred deaths and restarts from the last checkpoint. Yes, it will frustrate you at times, but rarely will you feel that it's being unfair to you.

Slave Zero X is a game where there is a great dissonance between how it looks and how it plays. It's one of the most stylish games of the year, and it looks great. It sounds very good too. It does a good job of reviving a now-forgotten brand and establishing its own distinct and unique biopunk identity. However, in many ways it feels unfinished and unbalanced. The difficulty is very unbalanced, the controls could be more responsive and the gameplay could be better handled, especially mechanically.

Classic Battlefronts were once great games, but it's been almost 20 years ago. And what was once considered cutting edge is now just a shallow and rather simple experience. The fun is still there, but it's still not something you can expect to spend the next few months with.

Nintendo just knows how to do these things. And perhaps that's part of the problem. It's a quality game, and it's a lot of fun. But it won't bring you anything you didn't already know. Also, the game is very short and you can finish it in two days.
